At Vapor Racks our story begins with our CEO and founder, Matt - an engineer, Bronco owner, and outdoor enthusiast.

Matt has always had a passion for adventure water sports including surfing, paddle boarding, and kayaking.  And like many Bronco owners, he enjoyed the freedom of the soft top and the open-air experience.  

 

But there was a problem.

Getting boards and kayaks to the water with his Bronco proved frustrating.  The solutions on the market didn't meet the standard in quality, versatility, function, or design. 

 

So he developed a better solution.

With a background in automotive and aerospace engineering, Matt and his team designed a precision-built roof rack system specifically for Bronco owners who refuse to compromise.  What started as a personal challenge became a purpose-driven company rooted in quality, function, and adventure. 

 

Key rack design requirements from inception included an aesthetic that enhances - never detracts from - the vehicle's appearance, along with versatile, modular functionality that allows users to mount many different types of gear with ease to the base rack system.
